We are a small family-run boutique hobby kennel located on the outskirts of Sydney, Australia, and have been involved with the Rottweiler breed since 1999. Actively participating in conformation shows and breeding pedigree Rottweilers has long been a passion of ours and has since become a way of life.

We adhere to the National Rottweiler Council of Australia (NRCA) Code of Ethics and are proud members of the Rottweiler Club of NSW and registered breeders with Dogs NSW, which is affiliated with Dogs Australia. We proudly comply with the breed requirements and ethical standards set by all governing bodies associated with our breeding program.
All of our Rottweilers undergo comprehensive health testing in accordance with NRCA and Dogs NSW breeding requirements before becoming part of our breeding program. We believe in breeding only Rottweilers that are sound in temperament, excellent in breed type, genetically healthy, structurally correct, intelligent, substantial in bone, imposing in appearance, and possessing the powerful head type for which the Rottweiler breed is renowned.
Our foundation females are all imported from Europe and represent some of the highest-calibre international champion bloodlines available. These bloodlines include, but are not limited to, household names such as World Champion Astor Von Junipera, Multi International Champion Uno Vom Haus Engel, INT CH, VDH CH Mambo von der Crossener Ranch, and VDH CH Balou vom Silberblick.
Our foundation Rottweilers descend from generations of proven German ADRK working bloodlines, European Champions, International Champions and Australian Champions, with numerous titles across multiple disciplines including working, showing, tracking, agility, obedience and protection.
We actively campaign our dogs throughout Australia and primarily compete at Rottweiler Specialty Championship Shows. Over the years, our dogs have been awarded multiple Excellent ratings and accolades under some of the most respected Rottweiler specialist judges from around the world, including judges from Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, South Africa and beyond.
We have also been recognised by some of the breed’s most highly respected authorities, including IFR (International Federation of Rottweiler Friends) President and IPO Rottweiler Specialist Judge Mr. Dirk Vandecasteele (Belgium), International FCI Championship Show and Rottweiler Specialist Judge Mr. Gerard O’Shea (Sweden), ADRK Rottweiler Specialist Judge Herr Siegmund Trebschuh (Germany), and FCI Rottweiler Specialist Judge Mr. Bruno Bortolo Morstabilini (Italy), to name just a few.
Due to the highly selective nature of our breeding program, only a limited number of litters are planned each year. This allows us to dedicate significant time, care and resources to every mating, every puppy and every family entrusted with a Vanaheim Rottweiler.
Today, Vanaheim bloodlines can be found in companion, show and breeding homes throughout Australia and internationally, with our puppies and descendants proudly representing the Vanaheim name across multiple continents. I have recently Imported a dog from Vanaheim Rottweilers and I intend to import another 2 dogs from them over the next 12 – 24 months my boy arrived in top condition and super happy and healthy. The process is a lengthy one which includes health tests done by a local Australian vet and a second health check by Jet Pets the pet traveling company All the results are sent to our biosecurity before we get a clearance permit. Then the dog comes to quarantine and an international head vet checks the dog again and it remains in quarantine for 2 weeks, only then is the dog cleared. Vanaheim Rottweilers has been very professional and patient throughout the entire process and would highly recommend them if you’re thinking of importing a Rottweiler from Australia. In a time of grief after losing our boy, Leizel and Oliver have reinvigorated our love and passion for the breed. I’ve been keeping an eye on Vanaheim Rottweilers website admiring their dogs and the imported semen they have of European Champion dogs. I’ve called Oliver and he was very professional and have been kind enough to sell me some semen for my breeding program. This was semen that was no where else available and he has really given me a good price. After searching high and low in Canberra we’ve decided to extend our search and we’re happy we did. We stumbled across Vanaheim Rottweilers and 2 trips later to Sydney we’ve secured our Beautiful call. We have been in contact ever since and Leizel and Oliver has helped us tremendously from Nutrition to training advice that has given us the confidence and know how to help our girl settle in from day one and she is well in her comfort zone today. As a first time Rottweiler owner, I’ve done extensive research and decided to visit a Rottweiler Specialty show hosted by the Rottweiler Club of NSW where I’ve met Oliver who is a member and part of the committee who have offered a friendly hello and provided thorough information on the breed before inviting me and my son over to come and say hello to his 13 month old boy at the time. How intimidating for me and my toddler to meet such a massive dog for its age. I’ve registered myself for the next litter and have not looked back ever since. What a professional breeder! From day one of contacting the team at Vanaheim Rottweilers, there was constant interaction the progress of our male show puppy, with detailed information on appearance and temperament found on the website. On arrival to Perth WA we could not be happier with our new boy.
We have a loving gorgeous boy, with a big personality and quirks. His a calm and a relaxed dog, with a very good temperament. Gets along well with other dogs and loves a good cuddle and fir a Rottweiler very snuggle. Very smart dog too and just wants to do the right thing. As I write this my neighbours are riding their very loud motorcycle up and down the street, Storm is still laying on the grass…chilling. Very calm not fussed by the noise.
